Gemmotherapy
Gemmotherapy is a specialized form of phytotherapy that utilizes extracts from young plant parts, such as buds, young shoots, and rootlets. These specific plant parts contain essential growth substances, enzymes, vitamins, and other bioactive compounds that are crucial for the plant's development.
The extracts are typically produced by macerating fresh buds in a carefully formulated mixture of water, alcohol, and glycerin. Proponents of gemmotherapy view these preparations as valuable support for the human body's self-healing capacity.
Gemmotherapy is a wonderful holistic therapy that regards the body and mind as a vital duo. Unfortunately, the therapy is sometimes applied by untrained practitioners as a purely symptomatic treatment. However, those who delve into the true essence of gemmotherapy learn various methods for formulating the appropriate individual remedy. Within gemmotherapy, we employ cyclic phytotherapy—taking seasons and biotopes into account—and draw connections to homotoxicology and plant evolution. Studying gemmotherapy is an extensive yet fascinating journey.
Phytembryotherapy
Phytembryotherapy is a therapeutic method that utilizes embryonic plant parts, such as buds, young shoots, and germinating seeds. Closely related to gemmotherapy, this technique is based on the premise that these young plant tissues contain a high concentration of vital growth energy and active compounds that support the body. Phytembryotherapy places significant emphasis on the worldview found in anthroposophy, as well as the teachings of Hildegard of Bingen. We view both humans and animals as a unified whole comprising body, mind, and soul. Our goal is to identify the root causes of illnesses and to employ plant buds based on their specific effects on these three elements.
