Welcome! I’m glad you’re here. Let me tell you a little about myself.
Gemmotherapy: my passion, my life's work...
My name is Nancy, and my love for plants began in childhood. Although I originally studied tourism, I soon discovered my true calling and pursued numerous training courses. In 1996, I qualified as a herbalist, marking the start of a fascinating journey of deepening my knowledge. I specialized in gemmotherapy, herbalism, and aromatherapy, and during a stay in Germany, I was introduced to the inspiring teachings of Hildegard of Bingen.
Today, I am proud to call myself a specialist in gemmotherapy and phytembryotherapy, holistic medicine based on the teachings of Hildegard von Bingen, and phytotherapy.
My curiosity about science continued to grow, and at the age of 40, I decided to study Health Science at a university in the United Kingdom. This course of study broadened my knowledge and provided me with further tools to strengthen my practice.
After years of teaching in my field at various institutions in both Belgium and the Netherlands, I decided to found my own school in 2019. Here, I bring together science and centuries-old herbal knowledge—from the wisdom of ancient Egypt to modern-day insights. Bridging the past and the present opens up new possibilities for the naturopathy of the future.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of exploring many facets of gemmotherapy, not only in Belgium but also in countries such as France, Germany, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. In doing so, I have had the unique opportunity to further develop my knowledge and expertise under the guidance of some of the field's most distinguished doctors and professors.
In addition to my role as an organizer and instructor at the School for Western Naturopathy, I regularly serve as a guest speaker and product trainer for renowned companies. Companies also turn to me for scientific information regarding plants, as well as for staff training and professional development programs.
I am registered as an instructor with the CRKBO (Central Register for Short-term (Part-time) Vocational Training Institutes). This indicates that my training courses and instructional skills meet their quality standards; a certificate of accreditation is always available upon request. I first encountered gemmotherapy more than 25 years ago. It turned out to be a challenge, a life's work, and so much more for me—a passion that continues to grow and captivate me.
A selection of my qualifications:
Master’s in Health Science (UK university) – Herbalist – Gemmotherapist – Aromatherapist – Phytotherapist – Bach Flower Remedies – Holistic medicine according to Hildegard of Bingen – Spagyric therapy – Algotherapy. In addition, I have delved into genetics, epigenetics, immunology, and more.
I am the author of various publications, including: *Handboek voor Gemmotherapie* (Handbook of Gemmotherapy), *Kleine praktische gids gemmotherapie voor dieren* (Small Practical Guide to Gemmotherapy for Animals), *Kleine praktische gids aromatherapie* (Small Practical Guide to Aromatherapy), *Kruidenwijsheid* (Herbal Wisdom), *Planten, levenskracht en DNA* (Plants, Life Force, and DNA), *Zeewieren, de toekomst* (Seaweeds: The Future), *Symfonie van leven* (Symphony of Life), *Spagyriek* (Spagyrics), *Kruiden volgens Hildegard van Bingen* (Herbs according to Hildegard of Bingen), *Vasten volgens Hildegard van Bingen* (Fasting according to Hildegard of Bingen), and *Edelstenen volgens Hildegard van Bingen* (Gemstones according to Hildegard of Bingen).
It gives me great pleasure to share this knowledge and pass on my passion, hoping it will enrich not only your own lives but also the lives of your clients and patients.

Questions via email or chat
Every week, I receive a flood of questions in my inbox from both former students and non-students. I answer them all with great enthusiasm; however, when I weigh the time I invest in answering against the often-missing follow-up—such as attending a masterclass or even a simple thank-you—it becomes difficult to strike a balance. Therefore, with a heavy heart, I find it necessary to attach a fee to my answers.
Are you a student of the year-long course (having graduated within the last year) or do you regularly attend masterclasses? In that case, advice regarding case evaluations remains free of charge, as agreed during the training.
I am happy to assist you, but my time is primarily reserved for my current students. If you still wish to benefit from my expertise, the following rates apply. Payment is required in advance.
Per email or chat question: €15 to €35 per question (depending on complexity; questions regarding multiple clients are treated as separate questions).
Short online consultation (10–15 min): €20 to €35 (depending on complexity).
Online Q&A or advice session: €60 to €95 per hour (depending on complexity).
Referred clients who wish to share their full story are treated as new clients. I am happy to schedule an appointment for them, either in person or online.
